A leader of the recent crochet revival, Jane Crowfoot taught herself to knit after being inspired by her great-grandmother’s hand-made blankets and studied textile design at Winchester School of Art.

In Homespun Vintage, Crowfoot has put together 20 projects that range from beginners to proficient knitters and are divided into three sections: ‘Two Tone Chic’ draws inspiration from the sophistication and elegance of Coco Chanel’s and the drama of geometric art deco shapes, ‘Folk Tales’ which introduces the tradition of colour and spontaneity of Scandinavian and Russian folk art, with its recurring motifs from the natural world, and ‘Time for Tea’ which brings you to the ‘make do and mend’ era of the 1950s with its floral frocks and afternoon tea parties. Pretty vintage buttons, frills and lace are all in evidence here, with floral cushions, doilies and table runners.

An inspiring book to help you turn your house into a home. Packed full of knit and crochet projects which will fit perfectly into any interior.
