Good Brands
The green economy is growing fast and some companies are setting the standard turning ideas into action and creating real impact. Here are five brands proving that conscious business can be competitive, innovative and truly game-changing.

Conscious Fashion Collective

A global community and resource hub built for sustainable fashion professionals, founders, and changemakers who believe the fashion industry can — and must — do better.

At the heart of Conscious Fashion Collective (CFC) is a shared conviction: that lasting, meaningful change happens through collaboration. CFC brings together values-aligned professionals from across the fashion ecosystem to share knowledge, build connections, and co-create the regenerative fashion future that is possible — one where slow fashion is the norm, authentic sustainability is the default, and equity is centered throughout the value chain.

CFC serves this mission through a rich ecosystem of resources and programming: Curated guides and articles explore the most pressing issues facing the industry while spotlighting the solutions, innovations, and organizations leading the way forward. A weekly conscious fashion newsletter keeps professionals informed and inspired, delivering timely insights, funding opportunities, and job openings. Through a Freelancer Directory, Business Directory and curated guides, CFC makes it easier to find and support the people and companies already doing the work — because visibility matters. Recognizing the people and initiatives pushing the industry forward is part of how collective momentum is built.

But what truly sets CFC apart is its membership community for sustainable fashion founders and professionals. Members gain access to weekly live events from expert Q&As, workshops, and How I Did It sessions to networking mixers, collaborative meetups, and coworking groups — all designed to foster the kind of meaningful connection that fuels real-world impact. It’s a space to learn, be challenged, find support, and grow with the targeted feedback and community conscious fashion professionals are looking for.

Whether someone is an emerging designer committed to ethical sourcing, a seasoned sustainability strategist, or a founder building a brand rooted in conscious values, Conscious Fashion Collective serves as a home base to grow, collaborate, and contribute to something larger than any individual action.

The fashion system won’t transform overnight but Conscious Fashion Collective is gathering the people who are making it happen and inviting others to become an integral part of that vision.

Green Tourism

One of the most established and trusted names in sustainable tourism certification. Founded in 1997, the organisation has spent nearly thirty years developing a practical, expert-led framework that helps tourism and hospitality businesses operate more sustainably, and showcase their green credentials with confidence to their guests and customers.

Today, Green Tourism works with almost 3,000 members across 58 countries, supporting everyone from independent guest houses and rural retreats to major hotel groups, event venues and destination management organisations. Their award programme assesses businesses across a range of sustainability goals – covering three key pillars of People, Places and Planet – with Bronze, Silver and Gold awards recognising different levels of achievement and progress.

Recently Green Tourism launched their industry-first Carbon Tracker, the first tracking tool in the tourism and hospitality sector to be independently verified as compliant with ISO 14064-3. The tracker covers Scopes 1, 2 and 3 emissions, giving businesses a complete and credible picture of their carbon footprint, with shareable reports designed for use in RFPs, client requests and wider sustainability reporting.

Later this year, the business will launch Green Tourism Certified, a new product developed in response to the increasing regulatory scrutiny around environmental claims across Europe, including the Empowering Consumers for the Green Transition Directive, which comes into force in September 2026. As regulatory scrutiny of environmental claims intensifies, Green Tourism Certified is designed to give businesses an independently verified, clearly evidenced basis for the sustainability claims they make, providing the kind of robust, transparent certification that both regulators and consumers are increasingly demanding.

For tourism and hospitality businesses navigating an ever more complex sustainability landscape, Green Tourism offers something genuinely valuable: experience, credibility and a framework that keeps pace with industry and regulatory requirements. As the bar continues to rise, having a sustainability partner with almost three decades of experience behind them is a significant advantage.

Marita Moreno

A Portuguese brand of sustainable fashion accessories built on the principles of ethics, craftsmanship, and conscious design. Founded with a unique perspective on how fashion should be created and consumed, the brand positions itself within the philosophy of “slow fashion,” where the story behind each product is as important as its aesthetic value. Every piece reflects a commitment to thoughtful production, timeless design, and responsible sourcing, ensuring that accessories are not only beautiful but also meaningful and long-lasting.

At the core of Marita Moreno is the belief that fashion can celebrate local identity while embracing sustainable innovation. The brand prioritizes the use of Portuguese raw materials and endogenous resources, combining artisanal techniques with small-scale production. By integrating traditional handcrafted textiles and working closely with skilled artisans, the brand helps preserve local knowledge and craftsmanship while reinterpreting it through contemporary design.

Marita Moreno produces limited collections, reinforcing its commitment to responsible consumption and reducing the environmental impact associated with mass production. Each accessory is designed for everyday use and longevity, made with carefully selected materials that align with the principles of sustainability and durability. The brand avoids short-lived fashion trends, focusing on timeless aesthetics that extend the life cycle of each product.

The company’s ethical approach is reflected in its production relationships. Marita Moreno collaborates with a network of trusted partners, including artisans who handcraft the brand’s bags, certified textile weavers who create exclusive fabrics, and a small family-run factory responsible for part of the production. Maintaining close relationships with suppliers ensures transparency, quality, and responsible working conditions throughout the supply chain.

Since introducing its vegan line, the brand has taken a more conscious approach to material selection, strengthening its commitment to environmentally responsible practices. Sustainability, transparency, and social responsibility are embedded in the brand’s operations.

Through its work, Marita Moreno seeks to inspire a more mindful approach to fashion, encouraging conscious consumption and valuing craftsmanship.

Medeco Cleantec

A German company dedicated to developing innovative cleaning solutions that combine high performance with environmental responsibility. With a clear focus on sustainability, the company provides advanced steam-based cleaning systems that enable businesses to maintain the highest hygiene standards while significantly reducing the need for chemicals.

Traditional cleaning methods often rely on large quantities of detergents and disinfectants that can have a negative impact on both the environment and human health. Medeco Cleantec offers an alternative approach through its Green Cleaning concept. By using high-temperature dry steam technology, dirt, bacteria and other contaminants can be removed effectively while using very little water and little or no chemical additives. This makes the technology particularly attractive for organisations that want to improve their environmental footprint while maintaining professional cleaning standards.

The systems developed by Medeco Cleantec are used in a wide range of sectors, including hospitality, facility management, healthcare and public institutions. In hotels, restaurants and other high-traffic environments, the technology allows surfaces, textiles and hard-to-reach areas to be cleaned thoroughly and efficiently. The result is not only improved hygiene but also a reduction in chemical consumption and waste.

One example of the company’s innovation is the MicroCleaner system with specialised attachments designed for demanding applications such as pest control. Using heat instead of chemicals, even sensitive environments can be treated effectively, supporting a more sustainable approach to hygiene management.

The company’s commitment to sustainability and innovation has also been recognised through several industry awards and nominations in recent years. However, for Medeco Cleantec the true measure of success lies in helping organisations reduce chemical use, conserve resources and create safer environments for both people and the planet.

With its focus on innovation, environmental protection and practical solutions for modern hygiene challenges, Medeco Cleantec represents a new generation of cleaning technology – one that supports businesses in achieving both operational efficiency and sustainability goals.

Ingrid Kraftchenko

A subversive British ready-to-wear label focused on womenswear, radical restraint, and post-utilitarian design for the rebellious modern woman. Known for her avant-garde aesthetic, Kraftchenko has gained critical acclaim for challenging conventional ideas of modern luxury while exploring themes of violence, body politics, shelter, control, and surveillance.

Working with pre-existing and sustainable technical materials, the designer develops innovative construction processes that merge function with provocation. By re-appropriating fetish, military, and medical aesthetics, the label draws powerful connections between control, submission, resistance, and community. Her work also challenges traditional notions of functionality through deconstructive “continuous skin” concepts that bridge architecture and fashion in the context of industrial collapse.

Designed in London and artfully crafted in East London (E1), each collection stands as a conscious rebellion against mass-produced fashion, embracing a paradoxical aesthetic of punk ruin and poetic decay.

The label was founded by British radical creative, artist, activist, and fashion designer Ingrid Kraftchenko, who was born in Dungeness, Kent. Originally trained in architecture, she graduated in Womenswear from the London College of Fashion in 2017 and continues to live and work in East London, shaping a distinctive visual language that redefines contemporary uniform and post-utilitarian dressing.
