This year, Stella McCartney marks its 25th anniversary – a quarter of a century spent empowering women, advocating for change across all facets of the fashion industry, championing collective action and pioneering luxury, cruelty-free collections, without compromising our planet.

For Spring 2027, the British designer revisits personal and professional references from her Winter 2026 runway show; the institutional ‘Stella’ wardrobe evolves once again through a new, modern lens – one that balances softness and strength, glamour and ease, archive and innovation, through 93% responsible materials.

Showcasing Stella McCartney’s ever-evolving portfolio of responsibly sourced, traceable and low-impact fabrics, each piece in the collection remains effortless, deeply personal and designed for modern living; oversized Savile Row tailoring in certified wool, architectural organic cotton denim, slouchy responsibly sourced wool knits, eveningwear in forest-friendly viscose and soft second-skin jersey are styled together instinctively, like an intentional edit of pieces worn over time.

Taffeta, ruffles, crystals and tuxedos channel the spirit of playing dress-up through glamorous 80s and 90s references. Hand-stitched taffeta constructions and sculptural ruffles bring drama and excess, worn with lead-free crystal-embellished bags inspired by memories of Linda McCartney hanging light-refracting prisms in window frames. Sharp tailoring nods to Stella’s formative time spent studying under Edward Sexton in the 90s, where late-night parties were met with the strict precision and structure of Savile Row by day.

Draping remains central to the brand; sexy day-to-night silhouettes, slinky jersey gowns and fluid constructions wrap and contour the body with softness, strength and sensuality.

Prints and patterns reference fleeting childhood memories and snapshots that quietly shape creativity over time. A nostalgic ‘Hi Hi Hi’ jumper references one of Paul McCartney’s wardrobe staples, worn throughout Stella’s childhood, alongside a pair of pastel-striped corduroy denim jeans. Hand-drawn woodland creatures and floral animal prints appear across shirting and separates like sketches and doodles from a children’s book, recalling a lifelong connection to animals as companions and friends, whilst reinforcing nature as fashion’s greatest luxury.

Shoes and bags continue the dialogue between functionality, craftsmanship and conscious innovation. The new Appaloosa bag emerges as a key silhouette for Spring 2027; inspired by its namesake, the slouchy tote is designed with equestrian strap details and an inherently Americana influence. Vintage-inspired vegan alternatives, patchworked textures and tonal eel effects amplify the season’s curated feel, whilst oversized proportions and softened constructions feel lived-in. Metallic surfaces, Paglia di Vienna textures, embroidered felt details and tonal Falabella chains reinforce the collection’s tactile, handcrafted spirit.

Select looks are styled with bold, statement jewellery by The Great Frog – each piece handcrafted in London from recycled fine metals.

Stella McCartney’s Spring 2027 collection will be available in Stella McCartney boutiques globally, at stellamccartney.com and via selected retailers worldwide from November 2026.
