British tailor Hawes & Curtis has partnered with Alfa Romeo to create a one-off bespoke collection.  Inspired by the Alfa Giulietta’s sleek design, the unique pieces push the boundaries of design and showcase a combination of innovation, quality and style. Both brands boast more than 100 years of heritage, making this partnership a natural fit.

ALFATEXT004The collection features a one-off Italian-made suit which nods to Alfa Romeo’s Italian heritage. The suit is inspired by Giulietta’s exquisite design features including the honeycomb grille which is reflected in the jacket’s mesh lining. The alloys have been created into a bespoke print for the sleeve lining. The charcoal grey suit material is made from luxurious Italian wool, combined with a water resistant finish to create the tailor’s first ‘all-weather’ high performance product.

Inspiration behind the exterior of the high-performance suit stemmed from the Giulietta’s unique DNA driving mode selector, which allows the drivers to seamlessly adapt the car’s driving capability to handle all weather conditions, just like the suit itself.

The women’s shirt features the fluid lines of the car which is echoed in the soft curvatures on the collar and bib. The characteristic red highlights along the bumper and interior upholstery are also reflected in the contrast stitching on the bib, the trim inside the collar and the metallic buttons.

Completing the high-end, bespoke look was an array of essential Giulietta accessories all complete with Alfa Romeo’s iconic logo: silk tie, silk pocket square, cufflinks, lapel pin and tie slide.

Hawes & Curtis Designer Kate Regan said: “The limited edition pieces are inspired by the Giulietta’s refined design features. Beautiful details such as the fluid lines of the car and the characteristic red highlights along the interior upholstery are echoed in the garments. I designed the collection specifically for people who appreciate sleek design, attention to detail and impeccable quality.”

Designed to meet the needs of the modern professional, the models showcased the collection in London with Canary Wharf’s iconic skyline as a backdrop.
