Storytelling With Gilles Abott (free)
30th Jan, 7-8pm
Whether you’re a Princess trapped in a prison of roses, a man trapped inside a monster’s body, a man/woman longing to be one or the other, not either or, or just you looking outside the window to the dark outside you’re longing for Rebirth. We all are.
So come to the Queen Of Hoxton where master storyteller Giles Abbott will transport you to magical worlds and to moving, joyful and, above all, hopeful Stories Of Rebirth. The magic will stay with you.
“Other storytellers name emotions. Giles is one of those great tellers who makes you feel with his characters as the stories unfold!” Trish, Surrey Storytellers
“Wit, wisdom and a voice like melted chocolate.” Honor, Word Of Mouth, Manchester
Secret Sunset Rooftop Dance Class W/Headphones
Tues 29th Jan 7-8pm
It’s time for the first ever Secret SunSET in London – and to celebrate in style we welcome you onto the spectacular Queen of Hoxton rooftop, reserved exclusively for the occasion. In the heart of the city, this rooftop is famous for its beautiful themed decors, and this year is no exception: come step into the world of Lady Celeste, back to the time of 1900 Bohemian Paris – for a truly immersive dance.
So get ready to kick off the day of work, and get your most glitzy and glamorous cabaret outfits out. Whether you are just looking to lay off some steam, fight the January blues, or if you’re missing the dancefloor while doing Dry January, this is for you. After all, do you really need another reason to dance?
As a celebratory welcome back, you’ll even get to enjoy marshmallows over the open-air fire after the dance!

Romantic Surrealist Lifedrawing with Art Macabre
10th Feb
Ahead of Valentine’s Day, Art Macabre presents a romantic vintage themed life drawing salon. The love of two clowns: Pierrot and Pierrette! A sweet and tragic love story between two classic clowns in costumed and semi-nude poses on stage at the sumptuously red rooftop bar of Lady Celeste’s. After a sell-out French themed salon last year, Art Macabre return to the vintage Paris themed venue for romantic theatrical special. Bring a date, mates or treat yourself to some creative fun as you sketch our duo of vintage clown models!
Sketch ruffles and pom poms, as we look at these classic clown characters and their love story. Expect magical gentle melodies with a French vintage chanteuse soundtrack to sketch to. Absinthe and cocktails available from the bar.
Drawing materials and paper provided (A3) thanks to GreatArt but do feel free to bring your own favourite pens and materials. A3 drawing boards provided too. Over 18s only.
