Nestled in the heart of London at The Crypt Gallery, Sense Ability invites visitors to slow down, tune into the senses and reconnect with the community. Across five weeks, the programme explores ancestral wisdom, offering a fresh vision for regenerative urban life.
Organised by a core team of three friends led by founder and curator, Masha Segal, the grassroots initiative is motivated by a shared belief that regenerative urban design is possible when integrating the living wisdom of the body and the land and that key to making this transition is a reconnection with the Anima Mundi (soul of the world) the senses and the ‘hidden senses’.

Conceived as a cultural venue, community cafe, apothecary, gallery, and deep listening space, the project launches on the 26th February with an evening of guided communion, scent-scape immersion, and a live sound session led by Garwyn Linnell and Bethan Lloyd.

The five-week programme of 72 diverse events provides a platform for practitioners, including artists, educators, storytellers, and celebrated change-makers whose workshops and conversations will engage with both local and global land knowledge and questions relating to the design of regenerative cultures.

The Space itself, at St. Pancras New Church, Euston Road has been carefully designed to create a sanctuary amid the fast-paced urban environment.
During the day, it will be a freely accessible space in which to:
Relax in small, softly lit rooms designed for reflection, Enjoy warm, plant-infused brews, Take in the scents of locally sourced herbs, Listen to nature-inspired soundscapes, See heritage crafts made from local materials and learn their stories, Explore books by UK-based change-makers

Sense Ability will bring together independent makers, craftsmen, and artists who work closely and gently with the offerings of the land, shaping an apothecary-style cafe and exhibits that carry the land’s textures, histories, and age-old narratives into the gallery.
